I enjoyed the Michaelangelo and Bill Viola exhibition, Journey through the cycle of life
I found the comparison not a good one or a bit of a PR stunt to get more people into see the video instalation of Bill Viola, which i did enjoy more than expected in particular his pieces with the people submerged into water as different seasons. and the elderly woman and man investigating their bodies on large mirrored panels.
The drawings of Michaelangelo where beautiful but very few and I feel the comparison of these two artists very week however it was a very inspiring exhibition and it really idd show the full power of video instalation used in a gallery space displayed in different ways
